Who Am I? The Question That Changed Everything

When I completed my BBA in 2006, I knew nothing but anger and had zero intelligence. I failed interviews repeatedly, not knowing “We’ll call you back” meant rejection. My first two jobs lasted hours before I fled—a weighing machine salesperson (2 hours) and a factory supervisor (5 hours).
At a Hutch interview, when asked what I knew, I said “Sujatha!” When asked who I wanted to be like, I answered “Frank William Abagnale—the father of all fraudsters from Catch Me If You Can.” The shocked interviewer still selected me.

I started at a service center doing welcome calls. When telecom frauds began in India, I joined the anti-fraud team with three months to learn switches, routers, and networking. From that day, I’ve studied continuously—this field is a Cat and Mouse game where fraudsters stay ahead of us.

I moved from Coimbatore to Ahmedabad, handling major frauds across five states. My team discovered crucial evidence in the famous Neeraj Grover murder case—1500 calls between the Major and his wife in two days.

Despite my ₹6,000 salary, people offered ₹50,000 bribes for call details—suspicious spouses, lovers, everyone wanted data. I never gave in, even chasing some away. “He’ll bite you if you ask for call details,” they’d say. By 2013 in Bangalore, I protected 150 global telecom companies from fraud, cutting up to 1000 fraudulent connections daily. I learned hacking and investigated cyber crimes.

At six, I bit my own hand to blame my sister. I forged my father’s signature. I stole vadai and change from the school canteen. I was a criminal mind. The universe’s law: only a criminal mind can catch criminals. Realizing “who am I” changed my life. Passion mattered more than knowledge.
